Vinohrady is well deserving of its fine reputation. The name means "vineyards" in English, and once upon a time the hill it sits on was the royal wine-growing district of Prague.
It was developed into a middle-class residential neighbourhood in the late 19th century, but it never lost its green and elegant feel. Today, it is a highly desirable neighbourhood to live in for both locals and the sizeable foreign community in the city, and it features some of Prague's best restaurants, cafes and pubs.
Renovation keeping most of the original features
Located in the prestigious Vinohrady area of the city
Excellent surrounding infrastructure with easy access to the city
Koubkova 9 is a classic turn of the century Vinohrady building, just a 5 minute walk from the statue of "Good King Wenceslas" at the top of Wenceslas Square. Starting in February 2006, it will be gutted and then totally reconstructed, with completion expected in June 2007.
It will have a magnificent entrance hall and will offer 4 business suites on the ground and lower ground floors, 14 apartments over the first to fourth floors and 4 attic apartments, all accessible by a newly installed lift. In the basement it will be possible to buy storage rooms.
Office suites range from 40 to 50 sqm and apartments from 30 to 85 sqm, with two having a terrace as well. This project is situated at Koubkova Street, Prague 2 - Vinohrady.
